Terms of Service
NukeAlert is an informational news-monitoring and crowd-signal tool focused on nuclear and global risk news. It is not an emergency notification system and does not replace official authorities or medical guidance.
1) Acceptance
By creating an account or using NukeAlert, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2) Intended Use
NukeAlert is an informational news-monitoring and crowd-signal tool focused on nuclear and global risk news. It does not replace official emergency services, government instructions, civil defense guidance, or medical advice. Do not rely on NukeAlert as your sole source of information during an emergency.
3) Eligibility and Account
To register you must provide a valid email address and choose a nickname. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure, for all activity that takes place under your account, and for ensuring your nickname does not impersonate others, contain abusive language, or violate applicable law.
4) Fair Use of Community Signals
NukeAlert lets signed-in users contribute two types of community signals on articles: a community risk vote (High risk or Low risk) that influences crowd-weighted risk scoring, and reactions (๐ like, ๐ฅ super, ๐ข sad, ๐ angry, ๐ค support) that express how the community feels about an article. When using these features you agree not to create multiple accounts to manipulate scoring or reaction counts, not to use automated tools, scripts, or bots to submit votes or reactions, and to vote and react based on your honest assessment of the content.
5) Comments and Community Conduct
If commenting is available on an article, you agree not to post harassment, hate speech, threats, or personal attacks; spam, advertising, scams, or malicious links; personally identifying information about others; or disinformation intended to cause panic or harm. You can also upvote or downvote individual comments. We may remove comments, restrict commenting, or suspend accounts that violate these rules. You may report comments using the in-app report action; reports are reviewed for moderation purposes.
6) Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications, NukeAlert may send you alerts about risk-level changes and relevant news. You can disable notifications at any time from the app or your device settings.
7) Third-Party Services
NukeAlert relies on third-party providers (for example, authentication, backend infrastructure, and push delivery) to operate the service. Their availability is not guaranteed by us.
8) Service Changes and Availability
We may update features, scoring logic, notification behavior, or these Terms over time. Material changes will be reflected in the version and date shown above. The service is provided "as is" without warranty of availability or fitness for a particular purpose.
9) Account Deletion
You may permanently delete your account at any time via the in-app Delete Account action in Settings. Deletion removes your account and associated voting, comment, and report records according to backend rules.
10) Contact
For legal questions, contact the app owner at help@nuke-alert.com.
